PRESERVED MOSS
Mosses are small flowerless plants, usually found in damp or swampy locations. Preserved moss is natural moss that is no longer alive but has been carefully preserved for decorative purposes through an eco-friendly process. The result is a one-of-a-kind piece of plant art that is vibrant green and requires no maintenance. Apart from adding a pop of green to the décor, it enhances the liveliness of the ambience with its intense natural energy. No need for sunlight, soil, water or fertilizer. What more do we want!
How do we compare it to real plants?
Preserved moss comes in different colour shades which helps you connect with nature. It has soft luscious texture similar to soft plants. Absorbs pollutants & noise like natural plants. Loves moisture just like natural plants.
Since it is preserved, they do not have any growth, their volume is constant and hence require no maintenance as in the case of real plants. Moss is significantly acclimatized and can survive in environments whereas natural plants wouldn’t.
Plants have the ability to breathe in carbon dioxide and breathe out oxygen unlike preserved moss. But then a medium sized plant produces just about 5 millilitres of oxygen per hour, i.e. around 120 millilitres per day. Whereas humans breathe in around 550 litres of oxygen per day. So simply saying while it’s great to plant trees but for indoor décor a smarter choice would be to go for preserved moss than plants for it saves you a lot of time and effort.
How Long Does Preserved Moss Last?
The beauty of using preserved moss is that it requires no maintenance, but still adds a green touch and element of freshness to your space. It’s natural appearance (colour, texture and shape) lasts for a considerable time span. On an average, it lasts up to at least 5 years and if kept in the perfect surroundings with humidity level up to 70% can go as long as for a lifetime.
How do we use it?
We create a social harmony by customising to create beautiful designs, murals, wall frames, wall hangings, interior landscaping etc from preserved moss, ferns and other elements.
